The guides link to primary instructions and clearly identified specialist information. Each article places references beside the relevant section.
How to read these guides
Start with the device and symptom, then open the linked current instructions before taking action. Menu names and eligibility depend on the model, OS version and account settings. These pages provide general decision support; they cannot diagnose a particular device or predict recovery success.
Apple sources explain its features and security. Data Recovery Lab NZ describes its own services and limitations. We do not invent recovery rates, testimonials, an Apple affiliation or a dedicated DRL iMac service page. iMac enquiries link to the provider’s contact and relevant storage information.
Guidance checked 27 October 2026. The reference count reflects unique links, not a claim that every page applies to every device. General recommendations about keeping copies and documenting symptoms are editorial guidance.
